Our livestock are our pride and joy. We raise them humanely and provide them with the best life while on our farm.

The best thing we can do is take great care of them and in return, they take care of us, the way nature intended.

Our calves are born in the springtime. They grow and thrive thru the summer months on fresh grass. We rotationally graze so cattle have new grass every few days.

In the late fall we wean calves, typically when they are 6 to 8 months old.

A Calf from Spring 2022

Cattle Graze all summer and into the fall. Free choice mineral is always available to provide a balanced diet for those things that might be missing from the grass.

Cattle Care and Feed Making

We make feed during the summer months, so cattle have high quality nutrition for the 7 months of the year that they cannot graze pasture.

The long white tubes you see are winter feed storage.

Attention to Detail Makes the Difference

After calves are weaned in December, the brood cows take a much deserved rest to grow their next baby and get ready to calve again in the spring. A cows gestation is between 9 and 10 months, so they generally have 1 calf every year.

Cattle are then fed and grown over the next year. Some are sold as feeder cattle to another farm. We are limited for space in our barns and can’t raise all our own cattle for freezer beef just yet.

Cattle are fed a grass based diet and finished with corn and free choice balage. This gives us the best of both worlds, great use of our land and also a consistent and tender piece of beef every time.

Our beef is dry aged and blast chilled. When you thaw a package of vacuum sealed beef it will taste as fresh as the day it was packed!

Place an order for a Quarter, half or Whole or a smaller bundle.
